The title has been updated for now, old title was Crisis Core FF7. OC x Canon character. It's just following the main adventure of Crisis Core and Zack's story where my OC is working with Zack and being his friend. My OC is a cis-guy so in general I would say this fic is for masc readers.

It’s frustrating. Genesis would rather not feel affection for her. The first day of having Iduna on his own, he’d tried everything to calm her down. He’d even held her and rocked her in a way that felt unnatural, something he knew he’d have to get used to sooner or later. It wasn’t until he fumbled through exhausted sobs of his own and buried his face into his arms where they rested on her basket did Iduna quiet her cries, apparently disturbed by the addition of noise. He’d looked at Iduna, faces matching both red and wet, and she’d opened her eyes to stare at him. Green as can be.
The thought of giving her away only ever occurred to him in bouts of fear, because to him, that is simply abandonment. An act he’s well-versed in.
It is no longer out of duty that he cares for her. And that terrifies Genesis.

Jenova sought to have its perfect weapon. A vessel. A son to act alongside it in the conquering of the cosmos. Through many, many years of waiting, that's exactly what it got. However, there's one thing it didn't account for. The innate human instinct to protect what they care about, and the planets innate love for what belongs to Her.
And that just may be what changes anything.
or; Sephiroth and Zack travel through time during the scene in the reactor, have no idea what they're supposed to fix, and somehow end up making things better anyways out of sheer, dumb luck.

What if Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion followed the same ideas and story line as the Remake series? This fic was inspired by Remake, Rebirth and the entire compilation of Final Fantasy VII (along with my obvious obsession with Zack Fair). This one will be long, separated into chapters, and will cover parts of Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Ever Crisis, as well as have details and allude to scene's in Remake and Rebirth. Some scenes have also been inspired in part by the DMW in Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. This is my take on Zack's story, his friendships, and his enemies leading into to his death. I will post a new chapter every two weeks.
SPOILER ALERT: References to in game events, some of which pertain to Final Fantasy VII: Remake/Rebirth. Most characters and story-lines belong entirely to Square Enix.

Bahamut coughs politely, drawing his attention. “I cannot remain much longer. She is likely to have ingested far too much of this Planet’s blood and will need the appropriate care. Can you assist her?”
“I can take her to ShinRa,” he replies. Pauses. ShinRa official policy states that the permission of a guardian is desired but not necessary as far as the intake of human specimens is concerned. He wasn’t on the lookout for specimens, escaped or otherwise, on this mission, so there’s a slim chance she may not be taken by the Science Department after official treatment... but he knows ShinRa, and Hojo, better than that. “...You are her guardian?”
“As much as anything,” is the agreement, which isn’t much of an agreement at all, but he has greater priorities to pursue than his own curiosity.
“Very well. Do you consent to ShinRa treating this girl?”
Bahamut’s hood falls back in the breeze that has picked up, and a young boy with draconic horns and wicked fangs flashes him a grin. “I do.”
