Back in Camelot Arthur and Merlin wrestle with whether revealing Merlin's identity as Emrys to the rest of the knights and people will aid in the acceptance of magic again. Meanwhile, just before the battle of Camlann, Lancelot returned from the veil (for real this time) and Gwen is torn between her loyalty to Arthur and her true feelings for Lancelot, while suspecting that in his heart Arthur has always yearned for somebody else.

Hi :)
This is basically me trying to do what every Merlin fan has wanted to do since the show ended, which is fixing BBC’s mistakes. I can’t promise it will be any good, but I can promise it will be gay. Even gayer than the actual show, if that’s even possible.
This will be very long, and mostly cannon compliant at first. I’ll start changing things soon, though.
If you see any grammar or spelling errors, please point them out. English is not my first language, and Word can only fix so much, especially when I try to be fancy and use words like “ostensibly”, which I had to google because I spelt it so wrong that Cambridge sent me a hate email.
Also, if you find any of this funny at all, it’s probably because I read every Merthur fanfic written by horsecrazy, and tried my best to steal their identity and soul. I could never be as poetic, though. Or as knowledgeable about sex in the Middle Ages. So, if you’re looking for some good Merthur to read, search the shit out of that username. I would have linked it, but I don’t know how.
I’ll be honest, updates will probably be irregular and far between, but I’ll get to them eventually, so please don’t give up on me. -

Merlin thinks he's cursed, despite his riches. What else could be responsible for him being born with magic to the man who hates it most in the world. Hunith says he blessed, Gaius calls it a talent, and Arthur would say he's ungrateful for thinking such things, then probably lead him straight to their father and the pyre. That's how Merlin knows it's a curse. He would rather be anyone else in the world, a farm boy, or a physician. A peasants life would surely be easier than growing up in a family and court that would see him dead.
Ygraine lives to have a second son, but Destiny's hand is firm and not so easily swayed.
