Summary
Life as Geralt knew it ended with an explosion. Or maybe it ended before that, with the explosive fight that drove a wedge between Geralt and his family. It didn’t matter much, how exactly it ended. His old life was over.
He was still putting together a new one when Ciri crashed headfirst into it and taught him just how great it could be. Yes, the PTA politics, garden-variety prejudice, and jealous grandmothers were against them. But his endlessly devoted best friend, a flamboyant social worker, their lavender-eyed lawyer, and a whole pack of half-feral foster family were all ready to help Geralt build a home for Ciri. The first step was probably being honest about how exactly his life had changed...

Summary
They were thirty minutes into dinner and twenty-nine into Ciri's monologue about Mistle when Eskel had an uncomfortable realization. Geralt was going to have to give Ciri "The Talk", ASAP.
In which Geralt and Eskel mangle "the birds and the bees" talk with their teenage daughter Ciri, then manage a respectful conversation about self-acceptance and sexuality with unexpected grace. And Ciri surprises them both by having quite a lot to say on the matter of healthy relationships...and who they should include in theirs.
