Summary
People weren’t supposed to do things like that to the ones they cared about the most. They weren’t supposed to scare them so badly that they could hardly breathe.
And Obi-Wan could hardly breathe, even now that Anakin had returned.
Because to recover from a single hour of such terror, such suspense and dread was akin to trying his hand at rearranging the stars.
And Obi-Wan had never been one for feats of greatness, no matter how often they seemed to seek him out.

"They’re delusional if they expect us to come down here and just let them keep doing what they're doing!" McCoy threw up his hands. "Let them hear! Maybe it'll knock some sense into them and I won't have to do it with my fist."

"I'm being irrational? I'm—" McCoy's aborted laugh held no trace of mirth. "Of course, I'm always the irrational one, aren't I? Well, you're off your rocker if you think I'm going to let them use Starfleet medicine—my medicine—as a weapon for murder!"

Summary
Something like a bad omen churned in his stomach and Neal swallowed before returning her smile. It felt forced, fake, and he couldn't tell why, exactly.
"Is Peter around?"
"I don't think Peter's up for discussing the case right now," she said in that matronly, everything's fine, don't panic way of hers.
Neal felt his heart lurch all the same.
And he was making his way up the stairs before his brain could comprehend the movement.
"Where is he? El, what's wrong?"
During a particularly stressful case, Peter ends up taking a trip to the emergency room, scaring Neal half to death in the process.
