"You're sick," Hitoshi says with a nod, astute as ever, and Hizashi sighs, which promptly dissolves into a coughing fit.
"Yeah, I kinda am. Listen, I'm going to lay down for a while, okay, Shouta should be home soon, though."
"Okay," Hitoshi whispers, more withdrawn than this conversation really warrants, but Hizashi bites back a sigh.
It's a verified minefield with the kiddo—they never know what's going to set him off or upset him and clearly something about this situation is doing some not so happy things with Hitoshi, but Hizashi really can't think past the stuffed feeling in his head.

Summary
Hitoshi expects Aizawa to come forth like a wraith or maybe Tokoyami, who has kept him company every now and then but when Bakugo shuffles into the communal room, Hitoshi blinks in confusion.
Bakugo keeps to a strict sleeping schedule and he gets highly irritated if something disrupts it so it's beyond rare to see him down here at—Hitoshi quickly checks his phone—three thirty in the morning.
He watches how Bakugo moves further into the room, dragging his feet like a zombie and it takes Bakugo an embarrassingly long time until he seems to notice Hitoshi.
Bakugo freezes when his eyes fall onto the couch and Hitoshi can see the tension flowing through Bakugo's entire body.

Summary
When Katsuki steps into the gym, he didn't expect to be met with another student there, but clearly Shinsou loves to catch him off guard, because he's right there in the middle, flying through the air with his capture weapon.
He's nowhere near as good as Aizawa is—of course he isn't—but he's still graceful, still displays a mastery over it that Katsuki could never achieve and he just takes a moment to watch him.
Katsuki doesn't understand how much control goes into it, but Shinsou must have been at it for a while because he's drenched in sweat. Katsuki watches him a little while longer, sees how the strength starts to leave him fast, how his motions become shaky and more uncoordinated with every swing he takes across the gym and Katsuki bends his knees in preparation, more on instinct than anything else.
Something is going to go wrong, sooner or later and Katsuki is not going to let Shinsou fall to his death here, there's just no way.

Hitoshi knows what he has to do and he knows what it's going to cost him, but there's no way in hell that he's going to let Shibata hurt Kimiko any more than he already has, no matter what happens to him afterwards and it's almost easy to tug on the string connecting him to Shibata.
"Stop," Hitoshi says, and Shibata instantly freezes.
His eyes are glazed over and cloudy, a sure sign that he's under Hitoshi's quirk and just the sight of it makes Hitoshi shake uncontrollably.
He's dead. He knows it. As soon as he undoes his quirk, Shibata will kill him.

Summary
Katsuki knows that shit is about to go down when his handler puts a stack of NDAs in front of him and then doesn't speak again until Katsuki has worked through all of them, signing every last page.
"We need you for an extraction," she finally tells him once his hand cramp subsides and Katsuki raises an eyebrow at her.
His particular quirk and subsequent normal fighting style doesn't really scream extraction at anyone, but sure, he'll bite.
"For who?"
"You'll see when you get there," his handler says and Katsuki has to work very hard to bite back on all his anger that's threatening to bubble up. "Even with all these," she nods towards the signed NDAs, "we're not allowed to name the agent."
"Great," Katsuki groans out, though a terrible, horrible suspicion is starting to niggle at the back of his mind.
Hitoshi has been on a mission these past few weeks and Katsuki did just sign a shitton of paperwork from an agency he knows nothing about.

Summary
Things are weird, after Katsuki got Hitoshi back. He eventually managed to drag him to debrief and then also to his dads—Yamada having arrived mere hours after Hitoshi got out—but Hitoshi doesn't really part from his side.
Katsuki has to sit through a debrief that has them staying for an hour longer afterwards, just so he can sign all the necessary NDAs for that and Katsuki is pretty sure that Hitoshi's handler is going to kill him in his sleep one of these days.
Visiting Aizawa and Yamada with Hitoshi hadn't been quite as bad because over the years of their admittedly weird friendship he has spent many an evening at their dinner table so he's familiar with this, but it had still felt like an too intimate moment for him to be there, too.
And yet Hitoshi doesn't ever stray from his side.

Summary
Hitoshi is still pretty overwhelmed with his new-ish life. It's absolutely insane that Aizawa and Yamada took him in and it's even more insane that he made it into the hero course. That Aizawa would see potential in him and think he could be a hero and then fight tooth and nail to make it happen.
Not that Hitoshi sat back and let Aizawa fight his fights, but, you know. It's pretty damn insane.
And as if that wasn't enough, Hitoshi also somehow managed to bag the absolute best boyfriend in Bakugo Katsuki.
Really, all in all his life is fucking amazing.
And it would be even better if Katsuki wasn't so obviously unwilling to touch him.

Summary
Hitoshi wakes up slowly. He gives himself a minute to revel in the warmth and the comfortable mattress and the silky sheets before he opens his eyes because he doesn't get to enjoy luxury like that often.
Just like he expected, he's alone in bed, because Katsuki never spends a second more than absolutely necessary in there and sometimes Hitoshi wonders why he even bothered to put so much money into the bed when he doesn't even enjoy it.
He's not about so ask though, because then Katsuki might realise that Hitoshi spends way too much time in his bed and that would only lead to him being kicked out and that is something Hitoshi very desperately doesn't want.
He knows it's pathetic, the way he clings to this—fling he has with Katsuki, but it's all Hitoshi has wanted for a while.

Katsuki asks because he's not stupid and he knows what all the signs he witnessed point to and if Aizawa has a hand in this—
"He is," Hitoshi weakly says as he clings to Katsuki. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he repeats over and over again as if Katsuki is going to have his head for keeping some things to himself and Katsuki squeezes him harder.
"Don't be, if you're not ready, then you're not ready and it's fucking fine," he says because it is but Hitoshi shakes his head as if he wants to argue some more. "It's fine, Toshi, it is," Katsuki tries again, but of course it doesn't do anything and by now it feels as if Hitoshi is sliding right through his fingers and straight into a panic attack.

Katsuki loves that about Hitoshi, that he's so much taller than him, adores it more than he ever thought possible so when Hitoshi crowds him in and tilts his head up for a heated kiss it's perfect.
It's still perfect when Hitoshi easily guides them towards the bed where he carefully lays Katsuki out and even though he has never done this, has never cared to do this with anyone before because he was too invested in becoming the best hero he could possibly be and then, later, Hitoshi, it's easy enough to follow his lead and to push his nerves away.
And it's all good and even fun, right until Hitoshi towers over him, caging Katsuki in with his arms, his leg sliding between Katsuki's and pressing in and then all of a sudden nothing feels good anymore.

Summary
Hitoshi lets out a long breath when the door behind him closes. He looks around the room, painstakingly taking in every detail, so he can leave it exactly like this when he gets kicked out again.
It wouldn't do to create more problems for Aizawa and Yamada after all and having to renovate the room would certainly count as one so he makes sure to take in as many details as he can. He's going to make a list later, maybe even print some photos if he gets a chance to do so, all so that he can leave it behind perfectly untouched afterwards.
Once Hitoshi has a general picture of the room saved, he gets out his calendar.
He puts it on the table and carefully crosses out the first day, making a corresponding line at the back of it, so he can better count the days.
The moment he stepped into Aizawa's and Yamada's apartment his mental countdown had started and he gives himself sixteen days.
Sixteen days before he fucks up badly enough that they are going to kick him out again.

The problem is that they are going public with their relationship. That is a big fucking problem and it has everything to do with Katsuki.
He knows what everyone—including his friends—thinks: too angry, too self-centred, too selfish, too hard and definitely not a person who could love anyone else.
It doesn't matter that Katsuki loves his friends so much that he fears it might kill him someday; it doesn't matter that he loves Hitoshi so much it takes his breath away every goddamn time the purple idiot smiles at him.
It doesn't matter that Katsuki can be his own brand of soft with Hitoshi because it will never, ever fit the socially accepted standard and therefore, Katsuki will always fall flat, no matter how hard he tries.

Katsuki knows that it's not something special, that Aizawa is not doing this to punish him, specifically, but it sure feels like it.
"Parent-Teacher conference," Katsuki flatly repeats and Aizawa's eyes snap to him.
"Yes, Bakugo. You're going to be there, too. In fact, all of you are required to attend as well. Don't think I like this any more than you do but it's what's going to happen. No questions, you have free study time now."
The fucker is barely done speaking before he vanishes inside his sleeping bag and between one blink and the next, he dropped down to the floor, clearly already out.
Katsuki sits at his table, very still, very controlled and doesn't care about free study at all because he's fucked.
He's entirely fucked if Aizawa meets his parents—or gods forbid just his mother—and even though Katsuki doesn't like a lot of grown ups, Aizawa is—different.
He's different and once he sees how weak and pathetic Katsuki is his entire picture of him will change and then Aizawa will treat him like every other adult does and Katsuki is not ready for that.

Hitoshi used his quirk for personal gain on another person and hurt them with it.
He controlled Aizawa against his will, lied to him about his quirk, used him to alleviate some of his own pain, uncaring what it would do to Aizawa and it's all wrong, Hitoshi knows it and yet, he still did it.
Text-book villain behaviour.
He's exactly what everyone always said he was and Hitoshi knows he should stop and stay and face the music, but his feet carry him away, away, away and in the end, he simply lets them.
It doesn't matter where he ends up. There's nowhere for him to go anymore.

They stare at each other for a moment before Bakugo raises his hands and puts them right on Hitoshi's face, squishing his cheeks.
He stays there, for way longer than is comfortable or socially acceptable and like he so often does, Hitoshi runs his mouth at him.
"Are you about to kiss me or snap my neck?" he asks, allowing a bit of cheek into his voice, even as he readies himself for a fight and normally it's enough to set Bakugo off but this time he only continues to stare at him, consideringly and all consuming.
"I could also explode your head like a watermelon," Bakugo finally says and Hitoshi is pretty sure that somewhere Denki makes a choked off noise of alarm though it gets lost under his own chocked off noise.
Though his has nothing to do with alarm.

They don't get visitors, except Nemuri, and there's no way she would put that surprised look on Hizashi's face.
"Kiddo," Hizashi breathes out and that's enough to bring Shouta to his side in an instant.
"Please, I need help," Hitoshi whispers out, cradling his jacket to his chest and for a moment Shouta can't breathe, imagining stab wounds and blood and irreparable damage.

Shouta makes sure to scale the building on the opposite side of where he saw the movement to give himself some time to assess the situation.
It takes him a moment to spot the origin of the movement and for a moment Shouta thinks he must be hallucinating, because that's a child.
A small, shivering child, who cannot be older than ten or maybe eleven. On the roof of one of the highest towers in the area, with no official way up there, apart from teleportation, flying or scaling the building like Shouta did.
And that is more than worrying.

"Well, welcome to my world," Hitoshi mutters with an eyeroll because in the rare instances he can't get someone with his quirk, fighting without a quirk is literally all he does. "You're just overly reliant on yours."
"You think you couldn't get me to respond to you? Scared, eyebags?" Bakugo teases him and Hitoshi stares him down.
"I'm not scared and you wouldn't stand a change against me if I was allowed to use my quirk."
It's not even boasting—ever since that very violent quirk awakening he had taking control of people is easy in a way that sometimes still scares Hitoshi.
And he's not ready to have Bakugo be scared of him.
