That first year was the toughest, no point in even wasting breath on a refute. Between finding her footing and getting the rubble to fuck off, Maya's navigation through Hell only grew harder as she learned just how big of a pond she was swimming in.

In a mystery of events, Maya and Alastor are the only two overlords to be transported into a perfect image of New Orleans. The 1930s, so familiar and identical to what Alastor remembers-- and completely new terrain for Maya. Is it a trap or a transportation? Or something else entirely? Neither of them know the answer to this. And after discovering one another in the city, chaos ensues as they are quick to blame the other for the current predicament. Death ensues at the hands of one another, only to reset them to the very beginning of their arrival. With death loops now evident, they have some excuse to take out their irritations on each other ---before (begrudgingly) coming to work together to figure out what new kind of fresh hell they've landed in.
