Summary
Sasha moves away from them, suddenly, stupidly, angry. She tilts her chin upward and flashes them a bright, sharp smile. “It’s fine,” she says. “Have a great date!”
“Sasha.”
“I need to get home. Things to do. See you tomorrow!”
And she swings round, digging her hands deep into her pockets so that nobody can see them clenching into fists, and marches away.

Or, Sasha is glad for Tim, Jon and Martin and their new romance. She really is. She just wishes she didn’t feel so left out all the time.

“I don’t think we should do this any more,” Sasha says bluntly. She’s never been much good at dressing words up in pretty frills or letting people down easily.
Tim blinks. His face goes… sort of blank. He turns round to the sink, fussing with making sure the water’s hot and rinsing the bowls out before starting to scrub them. Without turning to look at her, he says,
“Okay. Yeah. Okay.”
