You know me. I trust you. Why did those words make Damian’s stomach churn? Not that he needed to wonder; less than two hours ago, a powerful psychic meta named Phobia forced him to face the cold hard truth, and it was quite literally a matter of life and death. To hide from it any longer would be to allow it to have power over him, and thus forever admit defeat to any other being who would wield that truth as a weapon against him. He would NOT let that happen. So he needed to confront it for real, head on, as soon as possible. Meaning here, in this apartment, tonight.

Everything was red. The entire world was surrounded by flames.
Incessant buzzes ringing into his ears drowning his thoughts. He felt like being swallowed by his feet, losing his strength, his powers. The sun wasn’t in the sky anymore. Everything was dark except the wall of fire. He couldn’t fly out, he couldn’t climb out, he could barely breathe… He was stuck in a volcano prison… again.
“--than”…”--onathan”… “Jona--” A cacophony of muffled sounds echoing started to pull him back, the clash of metal colliding, huffs of blows and fighting, a voice in particular. His voice… “--THAN!! JONATHAN!!!!”
He blinked feeling hot tears falling, his vision was blurred but he could see… green.
"Love is powerful thing, don’t you think?”

Damian uses LoA for threatening and blackmailing politicians and CEOs so they behave. Jon isn't happy about that and faces Damian about it by throwing a tantrum. They fight. Terribly. And, stop talking.
Does Damian repent? Of course not. Does Jon? Pff, neither.
They are both stubborn as hell.
