“And what kind of reward is that?” Suguru carefully hooks a finger under her blindfold, pulling it down a millimeter at a time, so just a sliver of her crystalline blue eyes glitter from under the blindfold. “The kind where I’m as mean as you want?”
Satoru’s eyes shutter closed to lean into Suguru’s touch, nuzzling at her palm, pressing a kiss to her wedding band, suckling on Suguru’s proffered thumb to self-soothe. Her lips pop off, velvety soft. “Not me, no. As mean as you want.”
Suguru lets Satoru plan a family vacation. It goes as expected.

Naoya looked up at her with wide eyes. Her voice was caught in her throat. Pressing her back into the corner of a wooden shelf, Naoya felt her knees wobble and her mouth dry up. Why wasn’t she standing up for herself? She had cussed out plenty of people before, spat in their faces and kicked dirt on them. Why was she frozen in place under Satoru’s gaze?
”Don’t you know your commands, dog?” Satoru hissed. “Speak.”
