Summary
Spock is aware of the Terran custom to exchange tokens of mutual regard during the winter holidays. After the events of an away mission, Spock comes to the logical conclusion that a dog would be an ideal gift for the captain. After all, he has observed a correlation between the captain’s interactions with canid species resembling earth canines and a 32.4% increase in the captain’s display of positive affect.
Unfortunately, Tribble the Pomeranian puppy proves to be bigger trouble than Spock would have anticipated given her innocent demeanor and incredibly small stature.
This is a stand-alone sequel to Winter Wonderland, a short story I wrote for the K/S Advent calendar last year.

Summary
After Spock is grievously wounded during a mission gone wrong, Kirk is left with a haunting reminder of his failure to keep his landing party safe. With his officer's blood (literally) on his hands, he has to try and find a solution for scrubbing himself clean of Vulcan gore and managing the logistics of a puzzling and dangerous mission through the Arthelos asteroid belt. However, in doubting his capabilities and lamenting Spock's injury, he may end up placing himself and the rest of the Enterprise crew in more danger than he realizes.
AKA: Author writes an angst fic to answer the fun question of "what if Vulcan blood stained your skin?" and decides to find the answer for themselves by tossing Spock straight into the literary shredder in front of his beloved.

Summary
In the Prime and Mirror universes, Spock risks life and limb to rescue his captain, who is being held captive deep underground. These two versions of Spock go on parallel journeys, never intersecting, but each in their own way demonstrating the love between Kirk and Spock as a universal constant that transcends the many points of divergence between their respective realities.
Please note that the Mirror Universe version of this story contains graphic depictions of violence and powerplay which may be disturbing to some readers. If this is not your cup of tea, you can skip the first three chapters and go straight to the Prime Universe version, which is far fluffier and tamer.
Written for the Spirk in a Cave event and gifted to jelliedlimes because this was originally inspired by their prompt about “hiding injuries in the mirror universe” aka “a horse that doesn’t want to be put down.”
It started there, but then I wrote the same story in the prime universe and paired them together because I’m extra like that.
