Grim is summoned for another annual ritual to defeat the evil and traitorous death lord Garęihnȉh to maintain the seal that Sumerian high priestess Meshara created a few thousand years earlier. He intends to do the ritual as is supposed to be done—summoning the zombie Queen Victoria and the dark murine mind hive Mouse of Despair and opening a portal to the underworld—but his nervousness causes him to mess it up and accidentally summon two different people—none other than the flashlight-wielding Victoria Bloom and the brave little knight Despereaux, both of whom have faced great threats before but nothing to do with the underworld! Moreover, the portal he summoned doesn't lead to the underworld—it leads to the Sector V treehouse, where an avid fan who dreamed of joining the KND from a young age has found herself at 10 years old again, and they're taken up to the Moonbase for questioning! Can they finish what Grim started and keep Meshara's seal intact?
