At first, it seemed normal, just a clearing of the throat. But then Stephen leaned forward, hand to his chest, coughing harder. Tony jumped, spilling half his coffee on the floor.

“What are you saying?” Stephen asked, noticing how Wong was taking the time to rub Wanda’s achievements in his face like this. It’s not like Stephen couldn’t do these things, because he totally could, so why did Wong feel the need to antagonize him like this?
Oh right. It’s Wong, his closest friend. Stephen wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to antagonize him, so of course Wong couldn’t spare him.
“Wanda can create whatever she wants. She can create whatever you want.”
Stephen paused, thinking once again about the one thing that made him vulnerable. The one thing he wanted, the thing he wanted more than anything.
Stephen Strange is called to Westview to try and help SWORD deal with their worsening problem, but he gets a lot more than he could have possibly asked for.
