He's kind of screwed, just a tad bit. He's not the only one that's stuck between a rock and a hard place (see: literally everyone else too), but alas. She gestured to a boy with a widow’s peak, his gray eyes flashing at the unwanted attention. The rest of the class gave polite applause, clearly wary of the TA.
That is when it happened. Alistair caught his eye, seemingly sensing the waves of “oh shit” that were rolling off Gavin. A wide smile crept over his features. It was not warm. It was not welcoming. It was a warning, that whatever hope Gavin had of getting through this class quietly and moving on with his life was snuffed out. This semester would be pure torture.

Summary
The Grieve family has been hunting vampires for generations, protecting the people of Ilvernath from these vicious monsters. But in recent years, the family has fallen on hard times. Gavin is forced to take a job bodyguarding Reid MacTavish, the heir of a powerful line of wizards, in order make enough money for the family to get by on. But when Reid is captured by a siren, Gavin must go on a rescue mission. If only that pesky vampire would leave him alone!
Meanwhile, Isobel is a siren that has lost her powers, and Reid says he can help, but even so they'll need some outside help. Luckily werewolf best friend, Briony, and her merman mate are more than willing to help. Well, Briony is.
TL;DR, Gavin goes on a fetch quest, hates every moment of it, and gets into shenanigans. Isobel and friends (and Reid too) go on a quest to fix her magic.

Summary
After Diya's newest invention reveals that high magick is still in Ilvernath, the former champions' new-found normalcy is quickly uprooted. The Cursebreaking Division is after them, confident that the champions are responsible.
The five (5) of them get wind of this and run from the government together, all of them shaking their heads at the thought of there being more after they destroyed it, and at the thought of them knowing such information if there was. But as things in Ilvernath get more violent, more persistent, more dangerous; they question what’s really going on.
Is it possible that the government knows something they don’t? None of them can fathom betraying each other after everything; but they need to find out what’s really going on here; and prove themselves innocent before it's too late to save themselves.
All they've ever wanted was a normal life, but their families' legacy always seems to come back and haunt them.
