“Well, Alexander, you see…” Burr said and pulled three pieces of paper from his pocket. Hamilton felt his face go pale, as he regonized them immediately. Of course he did; they were the missing letters, belonged to the collection he had read almost to pieces, on the days when it didn’t feel like torture to remember.
He didn’t say any of this out loud, of course. “Paper. How exciting.” he said as numbly as he could. It was propably useless: if those bastards had the letters, of course they had read them.

The trio comes to blackmail Hamilton, but instead of the check stubs they have three letters concerning one John Laurens.

Summary
So, this is a story of Adeline Margareth Joan Rosette Dumbledore, the sister of Albus, Aberforth and Ariana Dumbledore. my original character, of course, whom I'm quite fond of. This is also the story of the summer 1899, the faithful one which all Grindeldore shippers have carved into their minds. I might continue this beyond that, perhaps as far as the moment when Aberforth tells the Golden Trio about Albus.
Adeline is a year younger than Albus, year older than Aberforth and two to three years older than Ariana.
Some of the chapter's names are going to be from different songs, because even though it might not fit the vibe, I love finding fitting song lyrics for my stories and OC's.
Also, this is my first longer fic, so feedback is appreciated.FUCK J.K. ROWLING!

"Jack," his father hissed, "Jack, sit down, what are you doing?"
John didn't look at him. Didn't want to look at him, couldn't look at him.
"I'd like to say a few words on the matter, if that's alright." John could barely hear his voice over the roaring in his ears, could barely speak over the lump in his throat. But he knew how he sounded (how he always sounded)- words slick and oiled, carefully schooled by years of forced practice.
Pastor Jim's lips twitched, in what might have been a smile (John didn't know, he hadn't seen anyone smile in so long). "Go on, son."

“I put a roof over his head, I put food on the table, I have always provided for that boy since the day he was born, I have always given him the best of everything, and still he claims that I’m a terrible father,” Henry snarled at Alex and all Alex could think about was John, who was so good and so pure, facing off against this man when he came out. “If he thinks I’m so awful, why does he want me at his ‘wedding’?”
“Because he’s a decent person and even though you’ve been horrible to him he understands that you’re still his family!” Alex shouted. “He wants his father there, he wants his brothers and sisters there when he gets married! He wants to feel loved!”
