Summary
What if Sir Nighteye didn't die after the battle with Overhaul? Given the chance to live and make up for his poor behavior towards Izuku, how does he respond to learning how many people have treated Izuku so poorly? He does what any hero would do, he comes up with a plan to make sure that justice is served, and then executes it.
“My boy, you single handedly defeated perhaps the strongest villain in Japan, saved Eri, and broke the chains of fate. There’s no one else who can do what you’ve done, and I promise you that I won’t stop working until you and everyone else recognize what an incredible hero you are.” Nighteye let his curiosity get the best of him, and looked into Izuku’s eyes and activated his quirk, attempting to peer into Izuku’s future. He almost lost concentration and stopped his quirk when he realized he was seeing Izuku’s fight with Overhaul play out in his mind rather than seeing into the future. ‘That’s never happened before.’ Nighteye focused and tried to look further ahead, but instead his vision moved further into the past.

Summary
Before Hitoshi can say or do anything, Izuku's eyes darted around the room, almost nervously, before they met Hitoshi's own. Hitoshi raises a hand to wave at the strangely-skittish greenette, and Izuku flinches and slides outside.
Hitoshi's heart falls into his stomach and freezes, as he realizes that Izuku was afraid of him.
One of his new classmates walks over with a more direct and verbal offer to sit with them then before, but Hitoshi brushes them off.
He's lost his appetite anyway.
