Selina slumps further into the couch, falling to her other side so she can lay flat on the couch.
“It’s been five minutes,” she mumbles half-heartedly. Bruce doesn’t correct her, only hums and flips to another page.

Bruce cleared his throat and turned to Selina, who had propped herself up on one elbow. She was smirking and casual as ever, clearly amused by his internal panic. Her hair was terribly mussed and tangled, possibly from sleep, possibly from his fingers the night prior. Across her neck were several hickies, confirming he had more than likely been the culprit of her curls’ newest knots.

Again, he gave her an odd look, and acknowledged, “I don’t have many of those. And none I would want to be with so intimately.”
Selina met his eyes. Her fingers were clenched, her shoulders just close to tense. Sex, it seemed, was no longer an easy subject. He wasn’t sure the reason for her shift in attitude, at least until she spoke next.
