One year (2006) after the events of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Todd Ingram and Wallace Wells reconnect by chance. Todd's band is dissolved, and the breakup has humbled him. Wallace's apartment is lonelier than ever since Scott moved in with Ramona, so he considers humoring an ex despite having no playbook for it.
Alternating POV between Wallace and Todd every other chapter. Follows the canon of SPTO first, with supporting details from the comics and film.
