Yennefer braced herself and turned. “Fuck.”
Her child surprise was not like she had told her to, sitting and waiting, the epitome of poise and grace, but hanging from a bookshelf. Feet off the ground, head close to the ceiling, having climbed the shelf like a tree. She blinked, hoping the sight would change. It didn't.
