Then a Greek goddess as virgin as virgin olive oil decides to adopt him, and now she has a bunch of troubled nephews eager to take over the world, fulfilling all their omega instincts and giving Jason a family.

Look, Danny’s not trying to be deep. He’s just traveling, learning about humanity, trying to find a way to help ghosts find peace along the way. Instead, he stumbles into a pool of mysterious green water that won’t let go, forces older than death watching his every move, and a cosmic scavenger hunt where the prize is either saving the world or breaking it. No pressure.
At least he has a competent intern to help him along the way. Even if he's a little rough around the edges. And trigger happy. And a bit easy on the eyes.

So. What I WANTED to do was write a two-chapter fix-it about Dick saving Jason from his coffin, but that… got a little out of hand.
So now I’m throwing children with Adopt Me! written on their foreheads at Bruce and solving everyone’s problems because I feel bad for them.
Almost everyone’s. Tim is not having a fun time, and Jason isn’t exactly enjoying himself either. Duke and Steph are watching their nightmares come to life.

When Black Mask tries to torture Steph to death, she is saved by the hallucination of Jason Todd, the boy she only knows as the reckless Robin who walked straight into his own death. Even after the harrowing escape from Black Mask, he sticks around and while she appreciates his presence, Steph starts to lose grasp of what is reality and what is her own descend into madness.

“You opened a cross-dimensional rift,” Strange says slowly, like he doesn’t believe Tim’s lie, “to look for your brother.”

That much was true, although the worst part was that it made her father right, she really was a useless, stupid girl that would never amount to anything. Except, that wasn’t true either. She had amounted to something; a cautionary tale, a tragedy, a massive mistake, and that was all she’d ever get to be. The alley began to fade from her vision, the rats and grime fading into darkness, numbness overtaking her body from her chest and out towards her limbs.

“What the hell is it then?”
Damian frowns harder. “Al Ghul.”
And just like that, Bruce’s worldview goes to complete and utter shit.

Or: Jason decides that if someone has to be a monster in this world’s shadows, it might as well be him. This decision might’ve been influenced by the fact that Talia al Ghul decided to spring her son on him and also gaslight everyone into believing that Jason is her eldest child. Also, he kills his pseudo-grandfather and kind of accidentally becomes the new R’as al Ghul, because by now, he’s way too deep in Talia’s con-shit to back out.
…It all goes over surprisingly well.

Battling rogues, voices demanding to break free, memories that won't seem to stop and the feeling that he knows this Arkham Knight. Bruce needs to save the city, more than that he needs answers.
Too bad he won't find the ones he wants. That's what happens when you declare someone dead without a body.

It's probably for the better though, maybe a certain red hooded man in a certain horrendous city could help heal the grief that is ingrained in Peter's soul. Regrettably that is one more leap of faith Peter isn't sure he has the courage to take. Only time will tell.
