Summary
You closed your eyes and rested your head in your hands. Sometimes you couldn’t help but wonder if Varka threw him your way as some sort of sick test of your abilities.
When you opened your eyes, a crimson pair stared back at you.
Watching.
Waiting.
“You know those comments don’t bother me, right?”
His expression darkened dangerously, “Well they should,” he paused, “Not that the people saying them are worth anything.”
You opened your mouth to speak but decided against giving him another lecture on fostering good relationships with the rest of the company. “Lohen, you are not allowed to threaten your coworkers.”
His shoulders slumped as he repeatedly tossed a dagger into the air and caught the handle as it came back down, “You’re no fun.”
You both paused for a moment and he took a seat across from you and you watched the plan form in his head before he even spoke, “Hypothetically.”
“No.” you shot down instantly.
“I haven’t even said anything yet.”
“you don’t need too. The answer is no.” -

“I can taste it.”
Kaveh lifts a brow. “What?”
Isn’t that the point of drinking coffee? Tasting it? He knows some folks consume it for the alertness it brings them, but he and Alhaitham had always been connoisseurs of complex blends and—
“I can taste you.”
Suddenly, the room feels hotter than the desert.
Or, Kaveh accidentally starts scenting Alhaitham's coffee each morning, which spirals into something quite different that may finally force them to confront the growing something between them.

"The hallway."
"You leave your boots there."
"I knew you'd say that."
"I've said it before."
"Exactly my point."
"So what's left?"
Alhaitham answers with the same tone he used to identify the study or the kitchen. "The bedroom."
As if on cue, the chapter heading also reads: Bedroom.
Kaveh’s eyes skim through the first paragraph, and looks back up again, eyebrows raised. "So should we argue in the bedroom then? I mean, among other things…"
Alhaitham’s suddenly silent.
Kaveh’s eyes widen.
Their arguments have only become more frequent and more exhausting. Determined to put an end to the cycle, Kaveh and Alhaitham agree on a rather unconventional solution.
Every fight has to happen in bed.

“...Come again?” Reo said, blinking.
“School,” Ego repeated. “A real one. The JFU wants to polish its golden boys before the next global stage. Starting in four days, you will all be enrolled at Saint Lirius Academy. The most prestigious international boarding institution in existence. A mountain fortress of scholars, and your next rivals—should you survive the curriculum.”
Gasps. Someone—probably Sendou—muttered, “A school? We came back here for school?”
Isagi’s jaw dropped.
Otoya looked like he might faint.
Kunigami’s eyebrow twitched dangerously.
