Summary
Jaskier works in the Kaer Morhen stables and pines for Eskel. There is a masquerade approaching where Eskel will choose a spouse. Jaskier knows he cannot attend as a guest and would never be accepted as an appropriate match for the witcher. But then he is faced with an unexpected opportunity. One lovely night. One dance. That’s not too much to ask, right?

Eskel pushed open the door of the stable and at the sight of his dark hair and scarred face, the stableboy felt as though someone had released a thousand butterflies into his gut. A stupid, involuntary grin spread on his face.You see, the stableboy loved Eskel. As far as he was concerned, Eskel was more beautiful than anything else in Kaer Morhen. He was more lovely than the groves of pines surrounding the keep. He was more breathtaking than the view from the eastern balcony at sunset.
He was patient. Kind. Funny. Easy going. When Eskel was around, life felt softer. Safer. Or maybe Jaskier was just better able to bear its hard edges in Eskel’s calming, competent presence.

Summary
Jaskier hides his supernatural talent from Geralt when they first meet out of unease. His 'friends' may keep wanting to appear, but the bard tried to keep his Witcher from seeing them. Jaskier didn't realize he'd be the last to find out.
Or, Geralt gets way too distracted by the scents of the people he loves.

So many roles that he loses track; of who he's been, who he currently is, who he's planning to be in the future. But the part he'd played the longest, the one that spills across them all because he can never forget, is the witcher. And that's the only role that few living have truly seen.

He rushed back to the keep with haste, his heart hammering in his chest as he slammed the doors of the hall open and starling all that were inside.
"Eskel what is it? Are you hurt?" Vesemir asked as he took a step forward, his eyes scanning the path behind him for the danger Eskel was running from.
"No, you need to come, all of you… the Keeper, he's returned." Eskel managed to get out, watching as his remaining brothers paused and hurried to his side.

Summary
Someone is knocking on the large, wooden double doors that serve as the entrance to Kaer Morhen. In the middle of winter. In the middle of a blizzard.
The witchers move almost as one, grabbing their weapons. They make their way to the door, Geralt stepping up and preparing to open it as the others fall into formation behind him, ready for a fight. Geralt opens the door.
On the other side, Geralt sees… well, Geralt thinks he sees Jaskier, though he looks different, very different. Smells different, even.
“Jaskier?” Geralt asks, startled.
Jaskier smiles widely at him. Terrifyingly, there is blood in his teeth.
“I brought you a present,” Jaskier says, nonsensically.
For years, Jaskier has been silently telling Geralt he loves him. Only, certain secrets have always prevented Geralt from understanding. But now those secrets are out, and there are two cats loose in Kaer Morhen.
