Summary

Throughout history many tales would be spun about the gods and their dalliances, both on and off their pious mountain; few such stories existed about the most chaste of their number, Lady Artemis. While wars were waged on the folly of her siblings over beauty and love and power, with songs sung detailing their conquests (romantic or otherwise), Artemis maintained her station above her coven of unwed maidens accordingly. So, it was the only conclusion to follow that when her father, Lord Zeus, should discover how much time she was spending with one nymph in particular, that he would experience a reinvigorated desire to know about his daughter’s....social engagements.
A god of too much time, with far too large an ego (and ample power with which to show it off), sits atop his throne among the mountains, and begins to plot.

She starts to wonder if it was all a lie on Mattie's part and if any of their connection was truly real.
Outside of the town, Mattie is anxiously trying to figure out how to fix this mess, she knows she messed up real bad, and her instincts are telling her to turn tail and get out of dodge, but she won't leave Flora. She can't. She cares so much it scares her.

“We’d like one unassembled owlbear, please,” the tiefling says to Nettie, holding out a small pouch. Nettie nearly drops it; the fabric feels like burning coals. “Shit,” the tiefling says apologetically, digging in her pocket and flipping Nettie a few extra coins. “Sorry. I run hot.”
“You don’t want to each make your own?” Nettie asks. It’s both an upselling tactic and a genuine question. How are three grown women supposed to share one stuffed animal?
The tiefling’s jaw drops. “Abso-fucking-lutely we do,” she says, heat crackling off of her skin. “How much is it to do three? More, right? Shadowheart, give the nice lady some gold.”
