Summary
If you were to ask Buck, he doesn't know exactly why he accepted a summer job as a ranch hand in rural Montana. Possibly, it was just his way of "finding himself", or so he says.
Enter Eddie Diaz: ranch owner, cowboy extraordinaire, father to the sweetest kid Buck’s ever met, and keeper of trust issues Buck can’t even begin to understand.
And oh, warm brown eyes.
━━━━━━━━━★
Or, Buck accepts a job as a ranch hand, only to quickly discover there is much more to love than the Rocky Mountains.

Summary
“Okay, hold on,” Karen says, snapping back into focus. “Let me get this straight. Your plan is to just come out to Buck and… hope he connects the dots?”
Eddie shrugs, like it’s the most reasonable thing in the world. “I mean, yeah. I don’t feel like overexplaining it.”
He gestures to his face. “Also, I have big, beautiful brown eyes.”
Hen and Karen share a look.
It’s going to be a disaster.
It’s going to be very entertaining.
And, either way, they’re definitely going to end up together. So really, why not enjoy the show?

After a long-overdue realization about his sexuality, Eddie is ready to embrace what he thinks has been obvious all along: he and Buck are already something more than friends. Buck, however, is left reeling, forced to confront the fact that the only boundary he believed existed between them is suddenly gone. While Eddie moves forward like nothing needs to be said, and makes his own assumptions, the rest of the 118 watches it all unfold—fully aware, highly entertained, and absolutely unwilling to intervene.

Summary
It starts at the firefighter auction.
With Buck on stage.
With a smile Eddie can’t return.
With a feeling he doesn’t understand—
and refuses to name.Because it shouldn’t matter.
It’s just Buck.
Right?
It would be easier if it was.
Some lines don’t blur.
Some lines were never even there. And some feelings?
They don’t stay buried.
No matter how hard they try.
