Everyone knew about the Queen of Hearts' love for the color red.
Love? No. Obsession.
Everyone knew the stories from the early days of Bridget's reign, when absolutely everything around her had to be red. The stories of beheadings carried out for no other reason than to make the stones of the palace an even deeper red. But as time passed, things slowly began to change. After the War of the Roses, after the Empress's madness gradually subsided, other colors returned to Wonderland. Green pink, white…even blue.
The Palace had been painted pink long before the birth of the first heir, before Red was born.
Even so, a lot of people assumed Red would inherit her mother's fondness for the color. But the young woman had some very strong opinions about Bridget's gardens. Overall, Red had the reputation of being a fairly normal girl, at least when it came to colors.

But at one of the Alliance Queens' gatherings, the blood of Hearts finally showed itself.
What started with a small gift from Audrey ended in shouting, unexpected confessions...

Red felt her lips quirk upward at the affirmation; she always wanted her mother to be happy for her; now she finally has it. “Hey, Sister,” a chirpy voice floated from behind the two. Red felt a chill fall down her spine as she saw a young girl dressed in all pink prance into her room. “First day of school together!” She exclaimed, “I just can’t wait.” All the color left Red’s face as she took in the sight before her. Sister. Her sister. Her baby sister. Her long-dead baby sister. Red felt like she was going to be sick. She couldn’t help but stare. Pink was beautiful, and she looked so happy, so alive. Red could feel the tears building up in her eyes.

Based on a thought I had: Pink has always existed, and Red is coping with her sister being back in her life. It started as an inspo fic from TheWeavingWinnower88's Heartless that got quickly derailed.

Red might have been a little slow.
Actually, scratch that. She'd been very slow.
But could anyone really blame her? She had spent most of her life in the old Wonderland, where, it's worth mentioning, her mother ruled as a tyrant. Romance had never exactly been something she'd had the chance to understand.
Now, finally attending Auradon Prep, as she should have from the very beginning, she's starting to realize something unsettling: she might be attracted to Chloe.
Maybe a lot more than she's willing to admit.
The problem is that the whole situation with Luis seems to have shrunk her chances to almost nothing. And if there's still even the slightest possibility left, she'll have to fix that mess before she's forced to accept that letting Chloe slip away so easily would be enough to drive her completely out of her mind.
