Marcus Baker is functional. Ask anyone. He shows up (sometimes), he talks (when required), he even smiles (convincingly enough). He's been functional since his best friend died. Functional through his sister's chaos and his parents' careful distance.
Then Ginny Miller moves in across the street. And functional stops working.Not because she fixes him. Because she sees through him. Because she makes him want things he taught himself not to want. The problem with loving someone while hating yourself? Something has to break.
Here's what breaking looks like: Watching her from across the street like you're not drowning. Climbing through her window to say "I think I love you." Telling everyone it was a mistake. Crashing your motorcycle because the difference between accident and on purpose gets blurry.

Summary
post-finale, Marcus is in rehab but still depressed, Ginny back from Korea, Max suddenly pretty quiet and everyone is (still) pretty much struggling. Oh and Ginny visits Marcus in rehab. (aka I need to cope with the ending of this show). TItle had to be a Lana del Ray lyric
