“Yuna,” his dad cuts in, voice quiet, “maybe give him a second, yeah?”

Yuna was sad to think Shane felt the need to keep something from them. Why would he think he needed to keep a relationship from them? Did he think they wouldn’t like her? If she meant so much to Shane then they would love her! Was it because she’s a Boston fan? Yuna could see past that flaw. And being a fan of Boston was a flaw! Yuna needed a distraction. A task to help take her mind off Lily.
“I’m going to run by his place and pick him up some clothes. He’ll want something fresh to wear tomorrow.”

He shouldn’t go to Shane’s without him there. That would be an invasion of Shane’s space. But what else could Ilya do? He couldn’t go to the hospital? Even if he tried it would be past visiting hours, and who would let Ilya, his biggest rival, back to see Shane? No one. Ilya paced his hotel room two more times. Fuck it, he was going to Shane’s.

Summary
The NHL changes the playoff format, hoping for more rivalries, more chaos, and better ratings. Instead, they accidentally create the worst possible scenario for Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov: a legitimate chance they could face each other in the Stanley Cup Final.
Naturally, Ilya responds by making a bet.
“If I win the cup this year,” he says, “then I get to kiss you in front of the entire arena.”
Shane fully expects the universe to stop them before it ever becomes a problem. The universe, unfortunately, thinks this is hilarious.

Summary
Nessa had been assigned to Anya's care at the dog hotel where she worked. The little fluff ball quickly worked her way onto Nessa's good side, and she loved all the time they spent together. The fact that she was Ilya Rozanov's dog was just a bonus. Anya had this funny trait of barking whenever Hollander's name came up, which Nessa figured she learned from Ilya cursing Hollander out on screen. She always found it facinating all the different ways dogs show their intelligence.
Or, Anya had a favorite, and it was the last person Nessa expected.
