"Your mother made me make my own pie with her yesterday." He said, sitting up to glare. "What is it with your family? Why do none of you respect nobles?" He said and Merlin dropped the plate of food he was carrying. "...I hate you." He sighed, staring at his food bouncing on the ground with a loud clatter. "I should hire your mother as my servant. She wouldn't drop my food." He added with a fierce nod.
"My mother is here?" He asked and Arthur paused.
"You haven’t seen her?"
"No. Fuck. It’s finally happening." He whispered. Arthur stared, absolutely baffled. "She’s come to kill me." He explained and dashed towards the door to peer outside.
"What?" Arthur snorted. "Merlin. Your mother can be very firm, but she’s not the killing type. She is too softhearted for such things." He said and Merlin slammed the door shut, leaning against the wood as if barricading it.
"If you're not careful you'll be next."

Summary
I decided to give Bella more spine. I hated how she allow Edward order her around and tell her what to do. Everything under the pretense of "her own good", like she was a stupid girl uncapable to make decisions for herself. Said that, Edward´s character is no villainized. I don´t think he is a bad person per se, just to set in his ways and he found a codependant person who allow him to get away with his already controlling personality.
And I´m big fan of Jacob. To me he was the healthier choice for her, he let her to be herself and support her in her choices, and she loved him too. The Renesme solution of SM felt too forced and really creepy to me.Bookmarked by DoDeerful

“The film’s nearly out,” he said as he began to scroll the thumb wheel. “Mind taking a picture with me?” His voice was soft, almost a whisper among the laughter of their friends, and Bella leaned forward towards Jake to hear him better. They were nearly cheek to cheek.
It made her feel warm, hot, scalding, perfect. Like she had settled into a warm bathtub that she never wanted to leave. She needed her head and giggled when Jake made a face at the camera. She made a face of her own and—click.
Even as Jake set the camera back in her bag, she stayed close to him. “You’re just so warm,” she mumbled into his shoulder, loving the way it shook with near-silent laughter. Bella felt suddenly and completely delirious in his warmth.
