Summary
Set around the events of As You Were. A slightly longer look at what happened between Buffy asking Spike to tell her he loved her and Riley walking in. Bit of a fix it fic. Will eventually have a second chapter, but can be read as a stand alone character drabble.

Summary
The Montreal Metros are out of the playoffs, and Shane’s just found out that his grandmother has died. For reasons he doesn’t understand, she’s left him her dog, a poorly-trained mutt named after his childhood favorite food. And to make matters worse, the Ottawa dog park where he goes to train Tonkatsu is apparently the new hangout of one Ilya Rozanov.
Shane doesn’t know why his rival was traded to Ottawa, or how he gets his dog Anya to behave so easily. He shouldn’t be so fascinated by Rozanov, but he can’t help but be drawn to him. And the dogs aren’t helping.

Summary
“No one is here now,” Ilya observes, theatrically turning his head left and right and spreading his arms wide. Droplets of water trickle temptingly down the line of his forearms, tracing a stark vein running along his bicep. “Just us.”
“Just us,” Shane echoes, quiet and almost disbelieving.
These days together have melted into one long, sundrenched dream. At any given moment, he half-expects he’ll jolt awake.
-
Or: the day after the 'I love you's, Shane still doesn't quite think this could all be real. A golden afternoon down at the lake helps him believe it. A 1x06 missing scene.

Summary
Shane picks up on the third ring.
“What?”
Ilya closes his eyes, humiliation twisting his gut. Still, though, it’s nice to hear his voice. His shoulders sag a little. “Hollander?”
“I don’t–” Shane sighs, long and heavy. “Why are you calling?”
Why is he calling? Ilya couldn’t answer. Not in any way that makes sense, anyway.
Voice wobbling, Ilya says, “I am sorry.” He inhales, breath hitching horribly. “Was mistake.”
On the other line, Shane goes quiet. Then, shuffling around, he says, “What’s going on, Rozanov?”
Or: Ilya calls Shane in the middle of the night, and against his better judgment, Shane comes to find him.
