Following the World Duel Carnival, Rio has awoken early from her coma. Still injured from the damage inflicted by Thomas Arclight, and far less ready than she'd ever admit, Rio finds herself walking a tightrope as she balances school, an unresolved drive for revenge, a growing sensation that Something Isn't Right With Her, and a growing fondness for one of her brother's new friends...
All the while, Kotori is one of the few people in the world aware of the looming threat of Barian World, and while she's ready to support Yuma in his and Astrals' mission to the best of her ability, she decides to take matters into her own hands to ensure she's ready for when the fight comes for her hometown.

Summary
Tales from a modern AU set in the 2020's about the fine folks living in and around the fictional college town of Not-Lawrence, Kansas. Started out as just a GX college AU back in 2022 and has since evolved into a beautiful bustling Busytown for all yugioh spinoffs and then some, following various characters and pairings as they deal with university life, postgrad existence, relationship woes (family woes... work woes...,) and all the little wonders of being a young adult living in a shitty apartment where your kitchen is also a hallway.
It's about growing up. It's about the bonds we have with the people we love. It's about being a fake reference on a friend of a friend's resume. It's about being a goddamn loser. It's about making Yugioh characters go to Whataburger. It's about a lot things.
Named after Sam Fender's "People Watching."
