Summary

The only thing between him and them now were 109 men roaming his halls and planning to harm the one thing he has left. He will get this over quickly, Odysseus swears, and then embrace his wife and son until time ceases to be.

When Odysseus went to kill the suitors, he was only consumed by rage and bloodlust. Only feeling the type of ruthlessness that would make a god beg. When all was done, he got rid of every single body in the palace alone by hand. Only after that was done did he go to his wife.

Summary
Odysseus used to ridicule the story od Oedipus, for how could one have both healthy eyes and not recognise their own father? How could one look upon the features of their own blood and remain blind to them?
Oedipus must have been dim-witted, he had decided.
Odysseus knew not why in this instance, surrounded by carcasses of one hundred and nine men, was he remembering such a ridiculous tale.

It’s not a high point of his life, having a verbal altercation with Apollo’s father in an airplane bathroom - but it’s certainly not his lowest, either. It’s a private jet bathroom, after all. There are worse places to yell at a man much taller and stronger than you.

Summary
“Easy, kid.” The voice cut through the noise effortlessly, raspy with disuse but gentle all the same. Telemachus blinked up at the man in front of him – he must have practically fallen on top of him, but there was no annoyance in his tone.
He had only a moment to analyse him – tanned skin, warm brown eyes, scars showing at the edges of his tunic – before the guards lost patience and began to push forward again. The man resisted for a just moment, frowning slightly as his eyes darted across the exposed half of Telemachus’s face like there was something written on it he was trying to decode.
Reluctantly, with the persuasion of a sword digging into the small of his back, he kept walking, though his head turned back to glance at him a last time, his brows still slightly creased.
