Gates, what they took to calling the portals, would be handled by Hunters. Money, fame, and more awaited for those who were able to fight powerful magic beasts.
There was a catch though. Once a hunter awakened to their power, no amount of training would increase that power. It was stagnant from the moment they awakened to the moment they died. Until one day, one young man appeared with an ability that flipped the world on its head. The ability to endlessly grow stronger.
