After the war ends, Link finds hope again. Years later, he meets others who are part of the cycle. Though, not all cycles have to be bad.
Maybe a small cycle of hope, perpetually locked in a period of a few short years, is just what he and a friend need.

Summary
Water rolls down Link’s arms, his shirt long since soaked through, pooling in his fisted hands before dripping to the ground below. It’s cold, and his palms hurt from how long they’ve been holding his sword, and his hair drips small streams down his face. And it tastes like a day he’ll never get back. When he’d run through the muddy fields with his cousins, scaring the cattle and jumping fences to go dart through the woods, looking for frogs and snails. When his hands were young and soft, when he’d turn his face up to the stars just to soak in their brilliance, when it was just him and the gentle trees and nothing else.
