”I expect you to treat this bloody borrow-and-beg like your own child, Potter,” he hissed as they made their way back to the castle. Harry—who was cradling the egg, a tiny light-brown thing with a spattering of dark speckles, carefully in his mittened hands—almost dropped it at the slip of Cockney that he hadn’t heard from Riddle since first year. “If it gets turned into an omelet by a Bludger while you’re playing your imbecilic sport, they will never find your body.”
”I’d worry less about me breaking it and more about you keeping it warm,” Harry retorted, holding the egg protectively away from Riddle’s glare—vibes that rancid couldn’t be good for a developing creature. “You couldn’t melt butter in those icy hands of yours, let alone support life.”
… When Harry came to retrieve the egg that evening, there was a toad tied to the top of it.
“RIDDLE!”
Harry and Tom get paired up for the ol’ “take care of an egg together” project for Care of Magical Creatures. Tom tries to put his own Slytherin spin on the assignment, and soon they’re both more invested than they’d anticipated.

PURGE PROMPT: TEMPTATION
When Harry first arrives at Hogwarts from the Dursleys’, it feels like paradise. Like a walled garden kept safe and secret from the rest of the world, with as much food as he wants and warm, comfortable beds and green as far as they eye can see outside his window. The people here even remind him a little of animals, the way the students move from place to place like a school of fish or a flock of birds.
He’s sorted into Ravenclaw, the House of Knowledge. Which fits him perfectly because wants to spend all seven years reading every book in the library, there’s just so much to learn.
In which Harry is Eve, Quirrellmort is somehow both Adam and the Serpent, and the author is sleep deprived.

A tingle runs through Antinous' spine as he feels something touching his calf. Must be that stupid fucking mutt bothering him again, like it often did when he smelled of Telemachus, and he peeks under the long tablecloth ready to scowl at it.
Instead of an old dog, he sees his pup – the prince himself – by his feet.
"What do you see there, Antinous?"
"Nothing. Thought I had felt something." He drops the cloth. If this boy didn't have such a nice wet cunt Antinous would have killed him by now. "Must have been Odysseus' hound begging for table scraps."
The suitors jeer and laugh, thankfully covering the grunt that escapes Antinous when he feels a small, delicate hand climbing up his thigh.
