Summary
Being able to simply come back to life after a few million years should one’s body be destroyed, can’t do that with a physical body. Eating souls, can’t do that with a physical body. Having multiple forms one can seemingly flip to whenever one desires, can’t do that with a physical body.
Getting injured/hurt, something that happens to physical bodies. Exhaustion and needing rest, true of physical bodies. Being effected by what is consumed, true of physical bodies.
So human, yet not. I like to believe the existence of the demons and angels in the world of Obey Me! is something off, something that humans can’t truly comprehend, but can still understand to an extent. That being, demons and angels’ existences are far less physical than that of a human’s.
Going off of this line of thought helps to explain a fair few of the oddities one can see reflected in the Devildom and it’s denizens.
