Summary
Just because things happened in one time-line, doesn't mean they have to happen in this one. At least, that's Jane Kirk's determined opinion upon being told she and Spock were married in that other reality. The universe, however, has other ideas - and the spirit of her dead counterpart stuck inside her head isn't helping matters.
This story was originally published over at FanFic.Net on: October 26th 2013.
AUTHOR'S NOTE 03/12/23: This story is over ten years old. I'm a different writer now and, well, re-reading this story after so long made me cringe. A lot. I won't remove the story since people still seem to like it, but I just wanted to mention this since not only has my actual writing improved, but I now have different thoughts on the concept of destiny - namely that it's both lazy writing and kinda horrifying if applied to real life. Not to mention that the idea of taking a m/m or f/f pairing and changing the gender of one half of it just to conform to heteronormative society is... kinda messed up, something that I was oblivious to when I first wrote this story. (Thank you Leyenar_The_Avenger for pointing this out to me.) Feel free to read this story but please bear all of this in mind.

Summary
Eugene does his best, tries his hardest, despite not really wanting to be a medic. Spina gets it, and they grumble over it together. Eugene has always thought doctors and medics are book-learned people. Him? He hasn’t been to school since sixth grade. Sure, he’s good with his hands, has been working since he was a teenager, but this is not what he imagined when he enlisted. The others from Easy have been picked for mortar crews, riflemen, hell, even runners.
“Let’s drop the ma’am, hm? Lieutenant Salo will do fine,” she smiles.
“You still outrank me, ma’am. But I’ll do my best," Roe flashes a tight smile back.

Summary
Certain of her impending death, Sansa Stark begs the gods for one good prince... and the gods answer by dropping her at Ashford Meadow—where Baelor Breakspear is still alive—just in time to save him.
❤️🔥---❤️🔥
“Please,” Sansa whispered. Her voice sounded small, lost. “Please, I beg you. Mother above, Father, Warrior… all of you. Please.”
What was she asking for? Safety? Freedom? A miracle?
The bells shook the air. Sansa folded her hands tighter, fingers white at the knuckles. She knew she was about to die, and she didn’t beg for herself.
“Let it be different,” she whispered. For someone else, somewhere else. “Just once. Let there be one story where the prince is as good as the songs. Where the maiden isn’t… isn’t broken for believing in him.”
And the fire answered. The Red Keep was far away. A hundred years away.Bookmarked by Hopeless_Romantic_Dreamer
