Dick told Jason about it, but he didn't go. Bruce didn’t even bother to call, just delegated the task to Dick, so it clearly wasn’t that important to him. It wasn't just spite, though. As satisfying as it was to blow Bruce off, he had a different agenda to see to, one the bats didn’t know anything about."
Jason spends some time away from the family, working on his own case with an unexpected sidekick.

It was probably fate, what dragged Jason out of his apartment in search of a drink after a long patrol. He wouldn't have been able to sleep, anyway, pacing around his apartment restlessly. Running into Rena was the last thing he expected, but it felt like coming home. He couldn't fight it, why would he want to?
Once they spotted the wedding chapel, a cheap, plastic Vegas rip-off, they were done for.
All it took was a dare.
Or: the fic where Jason and Rena run into each other again as adults and impulsively, drunkenly decide to get married, deciding in the morning to make it work and get to know each other, including how Rena grieved Jason’s death and how it affected her life, what that means for them.

He can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen to him, and that feeling gets worse every time Bruce gets near.
Bruce wants a fresh slate, Jason is terrified.
