"Halloween was a catastrophe waiting to happen, so Batman had created contingencies for everything, assigned patrol routes that covered the whole city. There had even been a strategy meeting. Dick told Jason about it, but he didn't go. Bruce didn’t even bother to call, just delegated the task to Dick, so it clearly wasn’t that important to him. It wasn't just spite, though. As satisfying as it was to blow Bruce off, he had a different agenda to see to, one the bats didn’t know anything about."
Jason spends some time away from the family, working on his own case with an unexpected sidekick.

Summary
In a last ditch effort to heal his catatonia, Jason was submerged to the waters of Lazarus Pit but he was instead de-aged into an infant. Talia al Ghul saw more than a tragedy—she saw an opportunity. She claimed him as her own, she renamed him Jamil and plans to raise him in the shadows of the League of Assassins, with a fiercely protective Damian as his unexpected brother.
TLDR: The Lazarus Pit didn't heal Jason Todd—it turned him into an infant, and Talia al Ghul is hiding the miracle from her father.

One moment, Red Hood was fighting with Black Mask, listening to the idiot go on about how he'd murder Jason long before he'd become a problem. The next... Jason was ten years in the past, nine-years-old, and fending for himself on the streets of Gotham. Bruce might not know about Jason yet in the timeline, but Batman was the only one who could protect him against Black Mask.
If only Jason didn't hate him so much...

It involves bad beer, a ten-dollar rug, and a conversation that refuses to become the lecture Jason expects. Sometimes fixing a holster is easier than fixing anything else.

“What are you after Jason?”
“What do you mean?” Jason inquires cautiously.
“Only a fool would miss the way you are working towards something. You fight for more in the shadows. School, extra studies, how you work for Maroni. It’s all calculated.” She says matter of factly, like someone talking about the weather. Jason however feels like he just got the air punched out of him. He’s never been seen so plainly. Leave it to Mrs.Trina to pick Jason apart and still push for more. “So what are you after? What is it all for?” The thing about Mrs. Trina though is she doesn’t do bullshit. When she asks a question she genuinely wants to know the answer. It has Jason dropping his guard.
“Better.” Jason tells her firmly. “I want better.”
