Max tells his whole family, back in Europe, that he edits videos for the internet. He’s not lying, he just leaves out the fact that the videos he edits for the internet are, in fact, porn. He’s not telling them that, and he’s not telling them that he’s moving permanently to Australia. He’s definitely not telling them he has a major crush on the most popular porn star at the company. So, in fact, Max is not telling them anything at all, really.
