Summary
Soundwave's banishment to the shadowzone has been bleak, uneventful and unending. He hasn't been able to contact Megatron or the Nemesis. He's low on fuel. If it weren't for the emotion-suppressing protocols he implemented before the war, he would be miserable.
And then one day a dimension-hopping Rodimus falls into the shadowzone and offers him a way out.

“We have a small issue. Two humans just… appeared from Soundwave. Smokescreen has them both restrained in his vehicle mode.” Arcee reported back to a quiet comm line. There was no sound besides static for a while. Optimus cleared his throat.
“Right. I will call Agent Fowler here immediately. Bring them to the main room so we can escort them to Fowler's on site office for questioning.” Optimus replied firmly. Ratchet was already calling Fowler and telling him to report to the base as soon as the words had left his vocalizer.
“Understood. Arcee out.” The comms cut with a small beep. Ratchet raised a single questioning eyebrow at Prime.
“It appears we have unexpected human guests.”
