    Part 1: The Reason for Everything
    Taking place during the se02 timeskip between Act 1 and Act 2, this fic zooms in on the experiences of Cait and Vi during their time apart. It also features a backstory for Loris! Fully illustrated by honey-bee arts!

    Part 2: After the Herald's War
    Taking place after the events of se02, this fic is a full se03 in 9 chapter/three Act structure.
    It addresses the fallout of the battle w the Machine Herald, including the consequences for Ekko exceeding the critical limit on the Z-Drive. It returns focus to the unresolved class disparities of Piltover and fleshes out some deep history of that conflict through the eyes of the city's founder.
    It also features real consequences for Cait for the tyranny she enacted on the Undercity during her time as Commander.
    There is a teeny bit of League lore woven in, as a treat! But otherwise this is fully canon compliant!
