Pieces of the invention sprawled across the floor, wires splayed like broken limbs, fragments of months of work glinting under the moonlight. No one moved. No one spoke. The laughter from minutes ago felt impossibly distant, leaving only the shock of what had happened.

Hello! If you came here for the continuation of my one-shot: A More Tangible Demonstration That's awesome, thank you! This is its own work because it is now a female reader (changed from gn) and I wanted to leave the other one as a stand alone/fluffy teen-and-up piece. This is the explicit part 2, because they do make it back to the reader's apartment. It's mostly smut, a bit of fluff, and a teaser for a story. You are welcome to only read the first chapter and go on your way.
However, if you want to come along on an expansive journey (Adventure!) centered around the reader, please keep reading. This begins about a year after Episode 3 (end of Act 1). Jayce and Viktor are still figuring out Hextech (no Hexgates yet.) I'm estimating 7 years between Acts I and II. It will include S2. I have an outline and the reader will meet most of the Arcane characters (and more smut!) Now, the realities of what the future will bring will come into play and I can't guarantee a happy ending. (But there will be plenty of comfort, to go along with the hurt.) Chapter count is an estimate. I'm both excited and scared to write this. Let's go!

After finally getting her chance to be a hero, Jinx sacrifices herself for her beloved big sister, fully expecting to die. The universe has other plans for her, however, and the blast of Hextech from her final bomb traps her in time, leaving her alone and unconscious in the Hexgates ventilation system. With no reason to assume otherwise, Vi and Ekko grieve Jinx’s death and learn to live their lives without her.
Three years after the tragedy, Ekko returns to the Hexgates and once again, their lives are flipped upside down when he discovers Jinx alive, but unconscious in the vents.

Viktor's hand was small in his grip, but in no way gentle. It bared callouses from years of tinkering with metals and scraps and had the intense precision to snap chalks in a single snap. It was still rather soft, though, and cold. It sparked a somewhat delirious thought in Jayce's mind, a will to hold onto it just a second longer if it meant making Viktor even a touch warmer.
