She noticed him the moment he entered the market. He was one of the few people actually browsing the stalls, looking at the produce. He didn’t seem to be interested in anything in particular, more like looking for something to pass the time. He was tall and well dressed in beautiful garments of warm, earthy tones mixed with yellows and gold that occasionally caught the light. Embroidered silk, if her eyes didn’t deceive her. The shoes were worn and dusty, like everything else in the city. She hadn't seen him before, so maybe he was one of those wealthy travelers sometimes passing the markets. She wouldn’t mind if he spent a few coins on her.

Whenever I'm there, I don't expect company. And definitely not someone with this attitude, walking around like they own the place. I save his life from a burning escape pod, and what do I get in return?
A rare moment of peace.

Buck gasps, then there’s some rustling, then the sound gets clearer; Buck’s put airpods in too, also slow on the uptake. “Are you hard because of me?” There’s some smugness in his voice, Eddie knows all of Buck’s voices by heart, but also a needy breathlessness.
Eddie snorts, frankly inelegant and borderline funny. “Baby, I’ve not stopped being hard since I clicked the link.”

Eddie Diaz, newly-minted queer (label pending), has a free afternoon and sits down to jerk off with a bit of porn. He can't quite believe the man in the video is a younger Buck, but the evidence is right there and the result is incredibly hot. He obviously calls Buck about it. Any minor inconvenience makes Tony want to run away and hide. Preferably forever. Okay, maybe a mild coma. Perhaps hermitage? Not the museum. Just aloneness. But any major inconvenience? Inconvenience is too small a word. Not literally. It's not enough to convey the end of the world for Tony. The loss. Not the meme. But the loss. It almost kills him. It ends up killing neither of them. And there's hope for aloneness together. Almost hermitage but together. There's hope, to be perfectly honest, in the way colour returns to Steve's milk-white pale skin.
