Summary
It’s 1523: Berwald is fed up with Matthias, he wants out of the Kalmar Union, and he wants out now. Matthias can’t believe what he’s hearing; Sweden can’t just leave him and the others so easily!
Tino is caught in the middle, torn between staying with Matthias or following Berwald. But everything changes once he sees the anger Matthias has been hiding beneath the Union’s surface.
To Matthias, Tino is a mere lamb: timid, weak, easy to control.
Too bad he’s about to awaken the lion.

Summary
There are a good dozen personifications or so in Europe alone who have been around longer than history has been able to properly track and with them their sins. The human memory is not designed to retain thousands of years of experience, let alone the wrongdoings that come with it. Whether they like it or not, they have no choice but to gradually forget their mistakes that have been buried by the sands of time.
Despite this being a common understanding amongst the personifications, there is a particular Nordic whose heart is too big for his own good, and he insists on carrying the guilt of the mistakes he has to scour history books to properly remember.

Summary
The existence of personified nations was always an open secret. But when the public became fully aware of the ties these beings had with the land, the ethical considerations of these nations working under the government were sparked. Some of them have worked with less-than-ideal leaders, enabling genocide, colonisation, and corruption. Can they be trusted to remain in these positions? Should anyone be compelled to act on behalf of a government they do not agree with? If they are bound to their leaders' decisions, is it moral to keep them there at all?
They have lived for hundreds of years, and they will live for a hundred more. So the world had to ask: Should we recognise these beings as people, and do they deserve freedom?
After years of negotiation, international debates, and voting. A collective agreement from all world leaders had finally granted these nations freedom. No government leash, no political obligations. Now, with their own set of rights and personhood, they face an entirely new question: What does a nation become when there’s no country to represent anymore?

It seemed as though another country has fallen into the hands of Germany. It shouldn't be concerning, but it is. Why is it that their bosses only see them as a disposable tool? Are they not human too? The beginning of another war. Hopefully this won't change to course of history.
