After an accident, Auror Harry Potter wakes up in the body of fourteen year old Nathan Ciro, a tormented Slytherin who recently tried to end his own life. Seeking answers to his strange predicament, Harry returns to Hogwarts, and causes quite the stir through staff and students - especially when they come to realise he is not the same boy as before.
He tries to avoid suspicion, but as his quest for the truth draws more and more attention to him, Harry begins to think that he might not like what he will discover.

In which dethroning a king doesn’t magically lead to a stable, prospering system, Hogwarts is contaminated by dementors and Harry Potter needs to decide what kind of leader he wants to be.
Because handing a bunch of ostracized children great powers over their former tormentors may be one way to teach them something about great responsibilities, but it’s certainly not the best, safest or healthiest option — and there’s no telling what kind of lessons they’ll learn from it.
Hogwarts beware, the rule of the Dark Lord’s equal is about to begin!

Harry Potter is informed in third year that he's technically Lord Slytherin by Right of Conquest since he killed the basilisk. This is very stupid, but on the other hand, if Harry can use it to protect people and solve their problems, he will. (it's still stupid, though).
