Derek stood and rolled his shoulders to work out the stiffness, but instead of moving towards the door he stayed in place, looking at Stiles. He was so pale, but it was his stillness which was the most unsettling piece of all of this, so still his lightweight blanket lay undisturbed over his legs, his hospital gown pulled askew to accommodate the lines and monitors that were attached to him. Fifteen days, no change. Not for the first time Derek wished he could do anything other than just sitting here, waiting for something to be different, for him to wake up, for it to all be a big misunderstanding.“Son?”
Derek startled and turned towards Noah who was watching him, concern etched on his face.
