“Oh he’s not my dog,” she tries to wave her hand dismissively and realizes she’s encumbered by the stuffed full tote, “he’s my friend Steve’s dog.”
Eddie blinks slowly.
“Your friend Steve, named his dog...Steve?”
The dog sighs. It’s loud enough that Eddie looks down at the dog instead. It lets it’s tongue flop out of it’s mouth; it looks like it’s grinning.

Eddie's finally back on his feet after saving the world, and with regular visits to Jonathan to keep topping up his supply of drugs to keep the chronic pain away, life is looking pretty good. Sure, he's still generally hated by the town, still a gay virgin extraordinaire, and did he mention chronic pain?
So it's not like he's gonna turn down his buddy offering to kiss him so he's at least been kissed, and to help Jonathan see what all the fuss is about kissing another guy. Two birds one stone.
Surely nothing dramatic will happen and Eddie's long time, soul destroting, unrequited crush won't come waltzing in...
