And it is actually a newly evolved strain of Zurk that is going to communicate with the other Zurks where we are, and then they are going to know when to attack, and then we are going to be overrun with Zurks and then we are all going to either be eaten or forced out into the sewers where we will all die!” His voice, embarrassingly, pitched up a few octaves on those last few words. Bilite and Kundelich looked at one another. “Get rid of the Zurk, Kundelich!”
“You’re a paranoid, old bot, Baladin,” Kundelich said. He, notably, did not do as Baladin had so kindly requested

Maybe the true friends were the Zurks we met along the way! …is something Kundelich would have said. Or some others, perhaps a certain scientist who lived in the SafeZone and made a hobby out of experimenting on Zurks. But at least Baladin isn’t the only one to deal with this foolishness; Guardian’s hands are full too. No good deed goes unpunished, and all that, and unfortunately for him, Baladin has a bad habit of doing good deeds.
