Wemmbu. He was tall, lanky, and entirely too pretty for his own good. His hair was a dark violet that reached down to the middle of his back when pulled back into the pony tail it was usually in. His eyes were a dark gold that contrasted against the paleness of his skin, as if the idiot didn't know what touching grass was. But despite him being taller than most, he wasn't taller than Flame— and it sent a sick thrill down his spine. Wemmbu was a criminal justice major with a minor in history who frequented around the gym when Flame was there.

For nearly a year, Wemmbu has been patiently courting Flame—never rushing, never pushing. He buys his favorite flowers, knows his siblings well enough to get added to the family group chat, and somehow ends up becoming Flame's emergency contact before he's even his boyfriend.
And despite knowing exactly how he feels, Flame can't bring himself to say yes.
Not because he doesn't love him.
But because saying yes means everything becomes real.
Flame knows all of this and that's a problem.
The bigger problem is that Flame is hopelessly in love with him.
The even bigger problem is that every time he considers saying yes, Wemmbu does something ridiculous—like fly across the country because Flame had a bad day, remember a snack he mentioned six months ago, or casually offer someone a spare Tesla on Twitter.

Summary
What starts as trophies taken from spars slowly becomes something harder to define. Between rivalry, bruises, exchanged belongings, and feelings neither of them know how to name, Flamefrags and Wemmbu continue circling each other in increasingly dangerous ways.
Meanwhile, the entire server is one awkward interaction away from staging an intervention. Because it’s one thing to keep a torn piece of someone’s cape. It’s another thing entirely to wear it like it belongs to you.
Unfortunately, Flame and Wemmbu are too busy sparring, stealing each other’s belongings, and emotionally speedrunning intimacy to realize it.

Wemmbu has three rules for university:
1. Get good grades so his parents stop calling'.
2. Stay far away from people.
3. Never, under any circumstances, get too attached to people.It’s supposed to be his fresh start—a way to put three thousand miles between himself and the "hell" of his childhood, and even more distance between his heart and the memory of the boy he couldn't save. The boy whose name he can't even bring himself to say.
But life in his university doesn't care about his rules. First, there's Egg—the white-haired roommate who refuses to let Wemmbu remain a ghost and insists on becoming the best friend he never thought he’d have again.
And then, there’s Flame. Steady, patient, and gradually becoming the one person Wemmbu can't look away from, Flame is the person who makes Wemmbu want to break every promise he ever made to himself. For the first time in a decade, the "freezing ache" in Wemmbu's chest is starting to thaw. But loving someone means risking another crash, and Wemmbu isn't sure he’ll survive the wreckage a second time.
There's also other people around him but not as much as them. Or maybe he cares about them so much they're occupying his mind living rent free.
