The contours of the weapon were well known by now. The flaw in the grip. The rifling on the barrel. Her fist tightened. The alcohol was finally kicking in. Shadows danced all around. One deigned to approach, to brush against her. Like a breath on an ember. Wrapping the last glimmer beneath her breast. Lena asked her then. Why had she left without her? She begged her. To take her with her. Just to be together. At last.
Long filigree lines were drawn across her cheeks, invading her neck before ending in the valley of her chest. Darkening the present fabric. It was painful. So painful. Drawing on her last reserves of water, her veins, her arteries. The shadow didn't guide her hand. Only a whisper, with the power of a bomb, resounded. Summary
Words, they were always hard to find, and once lined up, they always seemed cruelly inadequate or insufficient. Things would be easier if the eyes could speak, if the soul could really be seen through them. There would be no need to bother with empty words and lies, for it would all be there, with no explanation or apology needed.

Summary
“Sorry. What’s your name?” Kara lowers the last bite of her hot dog. “You know mine, it’s only fair.”
The woman shifts her weight, pursing her lips and seeming to think about it. “I’m Lena,” she offers at last, watching Kara’s face.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Lena.” Kara gives her an enormous smile.
“Likewise.” Lena smiles back, then takes a breath. “I hope this isn’t the last time we talk.”
“Me, either.”
Kara watches Lena go, sees her pause at the street, then dart across awkwardly in her heels. “Lena,” she says to herself, trying it out. She goes to take another bite of her hot dog and feels the ketchup drip from her thumb, dropping into her lap.

Kara Danvers is in a slump: she’s just been fired from her job as a producer for a local news show, and she can’t get a single call back from prospective employers. But an offer from Luthor Broadcasting Corporation to help save their failing morning show might be just the thing she needs to turn it all around.

Summary
A Supercorp/Mythology Crossover - A re-telling of the Persephone/Hades myth under the premise that Hades is a woman. Kara is a Titan, who was banished to Krypton and left to die by Zeus and Hades. Only, her family managed to save her before the planet's destruction by sending her to Earth. She lives disguised as a mortal with her adoptive family, the Danvers, and she keeps her powers hidden from Zeus. One day, their paths finally cross, but Kara ultimately receives assistance from a surprising source. She makes a choice that changes the course of her destiny forever.
