Summary
To a witcher, touch is almost never a good thing.
Touch means something or someone has gotten too close. Close enough to rend open the places where armour doesn’t protect the vulnerabilities underneath. Close enough to see the pulse where it beats just under the surface, to identify where to strike.
To Geralt, touch is everything beyond that, too. He craves the moments where touch doesn’t mean pain, damage, or potential death, but where it means safety and care. In a witcher’s life, those moments are far and few between.
Geralt bears it and watches the seasons change until he can take out that part of himself for winter, and let it breathe.He’s used to it, and he’s already endured it for decades when he meets Jaskier

Summary
Four years after the Dragon Hunt, Geralt and Jaskier are reunited in a Nilfgaardian torture chamber. Geralt has missed his bard, regretting his actions four years ago. They need to escape, but the greater challenge after will be healing their broken relationship.
Voleth meir, Yen losing her powers, and Eskel turning into a leshy did not happen in this version!

Summary
“You’re not mine though”, Jaskier whispers after what might have been hours might have been days, still facing away from Geralt who’s still pressed up against him and holding him close like he never wants to let go again, “and I’m not yours. You don’t even want me” not at all, and especially not like I want you, like I’ve wanted you for half my life.
The thought hurts, the act of speaking hurts, everything hurts and Jaskier is so, so tired. Even his tears have run out at this point, and his voice remains rough and worn out, barely managing to crawl over his tongue and teeth and lips.
“I want you more than you would ever believe”, Geralt breathes into the nape of Jaskier’s neck, fighting the urge to pull him even closer, “I’ve wanted you for so long, more than I’ve ever wanted anyone else”
“You’re right”, Jaskier whispers, and the shape of the words is so sharp he’s half surprised he doesn’t taste fresh blood in their wake, “I don’t believe that”

Wouldn't it have been great if Geralt had sought Jaskier out on his own accord, saved him from Rience and comforted him after? Well, good thing that's exactly what's happening here.

“Why is it whenever I find myself in a pile of shit these days, it's you-“
Jaskier is all but sure that he doesn’t back away, even though every fibre of his very being tells him to and the ground beneath his feet seems to drop away with every syllable that leaves Geralt’s mouth- and he’s almost certain that he doesn’t wince even though the words dig into him like teeth. Maybe it’s the wind that’s changed or literally anything else, but something shifts in Geralt’s eyes and his voice dies away halfway through his accuse.
“I’m leaving”, he spits out after a moment of tense silence, hands balled into fists and shoulders still rising and falling too hard with every slow, forced breath, “before I say something I’ll regret. Don’t come after me”
“But-“, Jaskier starts when Geralt pushes past him and towards the woods without a single, backwards glance, “but, you will come back, right?”

Summary
Jaskier notices that Geralt has an interesting reaction whenever he's nice to him. So he decides to take that observation and run with it.
**There is no actual rape/non-con in the fic, just a scary moment between Jaskier and an OC. It's a bit darker than my usual fare, but don't worry. All comes out right in the end. I mean, let's face it. I can't write it any other way.**
